Day Sixteen

Another good day, even though I only did seventeen words over the minimum.  If nothing else, this project of writing short stories is quickly teaching me that I can/will never be a pure 'pantser' when it comes to writing. For anyone who doesn't know, a pantser is someone who sits down to write without any type of road map to their story.   While I am not an outliner in the technical sense of the word, I at least try to have a beginning in mind for my story and a lot of the milestones that will take place along the way.  I've done that for a few of the stories I've written so far this month but not all.  The stories with some planning ahead of time have been so much easier and faster to write than the others.  And as an added bonus, they've protected me from a lot more gray hair.
