Welcome!

My name is Karen Duxbury and I write tales of mystery and the macabre.  I recommend reading my stories while snuggled in a comfy chair with a glass of wine (my favorite reading  beverage) or a nice cup of hot tea. 
  
My genre may differ from one novel to the next but the underlying theme does not.  Too many women (including me, I'm sorry to say) grow up ignoring their own personal strengths.  We spend so much time and energy avoiding risk that we don’t recognize all the lost opportunities until much later in our lives.

When my characters are forced out of their comfort zones, they must call up that hidden strength to fight their way through to the other side.  Like them, I firmly believe that sometimes we all need to toss aside our umbrellas and dance in the rain.
